“Everyone who worked at Allman’s restaurant had one time or
another helped mix the beer cheese. The recipe was never a great secret and anyone
can make beer cheese, but to taste like Allman’s Restaurant Beer Cheese you
need the right mix of the original ingredients and the perfect consistency. That
is why the new Allman’s Beer Cheese that my son and daughter in law are making is
just like what was served at my dad’s restaurant. It was traditionally served
with saltines, radishes, and celery. Joe Allman came up with the recipe but it
was Johnny Allman who put it on the local map by serving it in his restaurant
for over 40+ years and they’ve got it just right.”
